The gravel rug mixes undyed wool strands with an unconventional weaving technique to provide depth and intricacy to the design, conveying a sense of nature and celebrating natural resources. 
The Gravel Rug, created by Nina Bruun for MENU, is inspired by nature and its inexhaustible offerings. It embodies the values that make a house a home: warm, friendly, and comfortable. Up close, its gentle loops – alternating in size – convey the sense of walking on a pebbled beach, yet from afar, the rug's surface ripples like a cornfield moving in the breeze. A process of looping tonal wool strands of varied widths into tufts is used to create the tactile surface. The natural material softens the rug's overall appearance, making it suitable for use in a variety of settings, including private homes and public venues.
